About the event

Over the duration of this six week course, you will learn the basics of wheel throwing from our resident potter, Catherine. This class is begginner-friendly, and you can keep everything you make*! Not only will you learn to create beautiful forms such as mugs, vases, and bowls, but you will learn to decorate and glaze your work using professional techniques! Come get your hands dirty!

This class meets from 6pm-8pm every Wednesday from September 11th-October 16th**. Clay and materials will be pre-prepped and ready to go so you can spend the full two hours working on your masterpieces.

*PLEASE READ*

*Up to one full 2'x3' shelf. The keep-ability of a piece is decided by the instructor. Lots of factors determine whether or not a pot can be fired, such as thickness, size, and construction. Please note that because of this, there is a chance a student may not make any keep-able pieces during the course of this class. By signing up, you acknowledge that no refunds (full or partial) will be given due to lack of finished pottery.

**No refunds or makeup days will be provided to those who miss a class, so try to show up every week! The only exception will be makeup days provided in the case of closure due to weather or instructor cancellation.

-This class is not meant for children under the age of 10. If you sign up your child, and they do not meet the age requirement, they will be unable to participate in the class and no refund will be provided. No exceptions.

-If you have fingernails that extend past the tips of your fingers, using the pottery wheel will be difficult. It is recommended that you trim down your nails and have false nails removed prior to class.

-Clay is very drying and some people find it irritating to the skin. If you have sensitive skin or a skin condition, we recommend bringing a few pairs of gloves (medical latex or similar).

For this class to take place as scheduled, we must have at least 2 participants. If we have not reached the minimum by 48 hours before the start time, the class will be cancelled and any ticket holders will be refunded in full.
