Ceramic Box - Sgraffito Technique

In this workshop, our resident ceramic expert, Catherine, will show you the building blocks of working with clay. You'll follow along to create a box, approx 4"x4"x4", with a custom lid. After it's made, you'll learn a unique decorating technique called "sgraffito". When you're finished with your masterpiece, you'll leave it with us to fire in a kiln, dip in clear glaze, and fire again to give you a proffesional-looking glossy finish. The last few steps take some time, so we'll call you when theyre finished (approx 2-4 weeks). This class is meant for ages 8 and up and all materials are included.

For this class to take place as scheduled, we must have at least 3 participants. If we have not reached the minimum by 48 hours before the start time, the class will be cancelled and any ticket holders will be refunded in full.
